Jogli

Posted by timtalking on November 20, 2008

I found a beta site for music.  Jogli.com lets you stream music and videos like a lot of sites, but it also lets you hear a whole album, an artist’s hits, or a “station” of similar artists and styles.  It’s like Pandora with videos.  I like Pandora, but Jogli is quickly becoming my player of choice.  I’ve been using it to hear whole albums of artists I know of but not too well.

U2 on the Horizon

Posted by timtalking on July 29, 2008

The new U2 album, rumored to be called “No Line On the Horizon” is due out in November.  According to this Sunday Mirror story I saw on @U2, the band is very pleased with this work.  And we all know that when Bono, Edge, Larry, and Adam all are pleased about their music, it is magic for all of us.

“…among the songs to be released on what many music insiders are calling the band’s best work to date are Moment Of Surrender, For Your Love, Love Is All We Have Left and One Bird.
Others include If I Could Live My Life Again, The Cedars Of Lebanon and No Line On The Horizon. “

I’m digging the All Radiohead channel on AOL Radio.   I also get into the All Springsteen channel, too, once in a a while.

On the iPod

Posted by timtalking on October 18, 2006

Never Been To Spain, by The King, Elvis Presley.
Ever since the re-birth at Graceland, and my baptism at Sun Studio, I’ve been a big fan of Elvis. I’ve scoured iTunes for live Elvis. This compilation I am bopping to right now, Elvis Live, is great. Although the wife seems to think it is a bit of the fat Elvis – the AM Radio Elvis – The commercial Elvis. His voice is amazing.
